Section 6

(1)
All staircases for the use of the public shall be not less than 4 feet 6 inches wide for the use of not more than 300 persons;
5 feet wide above this number.

(2)
Exit staircase shall open directly to the street or to a compound with clear access to the street.
(3)
The treads of the staircases shall be not less than 11
inches wide and the risers not more than 6 inches high

No windows or diagonal treads shall occur on any staircase,

All staircase, landings and supports shall be constructed of fire-proof material.
