Section 15

Nothing is an offence which is done by a person who, at the time of doing it, by reason of intoxication, does not know the nature of the act, or that what he is doing is either wrong or right, if the thing that caused him to be intoxicated was administered to him against his will or without his knowledge or he is intoxicated as the result of taking medicine for the purpose of treatment.

For the purposes of this section, “intoxication” is deemed to include a state caused by narcotics or drugs.
