(1)
Evidence taken down under section 141 shall not ordinarily be taken down in the form of question and answer. but in the form of a narrative.
(2)
The presiding Syar'ie Judge leading the inquiry or trial may, in his discretion. take down any particular question and answer.

Interpretation of evidence to accused 143.
(1)
When any evidence is given in a language or gesture not understood by the accused. and he is present in person. the evidence shall be interpreted to him in open court in a language or gesture which he understands.
(2)
When documents are put in for the purpose of formal proof, it shall be in the discretion of the Syariah Court to interpret as much thereof as appears necessary.
