Section 2

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires —

“action” means a civil proceeding commenced by summons or in such other manner as may be prescribed by Rules of Court;

“Judge” has the meaning assigned to that expression by section 2 of the Supreme Court Act (Chapter 5);

“judgment” includes decree, order, ruling, sentence or decision;

“judicial officer” means a Magistrate, Coroner or Registrar;

“Registrar” means the Registrar of the Subordinate Courts and includes a Deputy Registrar;

“Rules of Court” means the Rules of Court made under this Act and includes forms;

“seal” includes stamp.
