Section 9

An investigating officer may, in his discretion, compound any offence under this Act which is prescribed to be a compoundable offence by accepting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding $500.

The Minister may, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and

Yang Di-Pertuan, make regulations to prescribe the offences which may be compounded.
