Section 250
Government cheque books should be examined immediately upon receipt from the bank to see that no cheque forms are missing.
This checking shall be done by the officer responsible for drawing cheques on the bank account, who shall testify by his initials on the cover of the cheque book that the examination has been made.
t 251. Such cheque books as are not issued for use should be kept in a safe of which the responsible officer holds the key. Issued cheque books should be locked up when not actually in use in some secure place but must in any case be kept in the safe at the close of business each day.
