Section 58
Whenever the Minister has reason to believe that a dangerous infectious disease may be introduced into Brunei
Darussalam from or through any local area within or without
Brunei Darussalam, such local area may, on account of the occurrence of a single non-imported case of either plaque or yellow fever or on account of the existence of a foyer of cholera or of an epidemic of typhus or small-pox, by notification in the
Gazette be declared by the Minister to be a suspected or infected local area.
Prohibition of landing of passengers from infected local area.
