In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires-

Section 2
"action" includes legal proceedings and process of every description other than criminal, and includes proceedings in bankruptcy;
"public officer" means a person employed in the service of the Government of Brunei, and includes
Municipal Board and Police Officers.
