Section 29

Every Officer-in-Charge is hereby authorised and required to keep and detain all persons duly committed to his custody by any court, Judge,

Magistrate or other competent public authority, according to the exigency of any warrant or order by which such person has been committed, or until such person is discharged by due course of law.
