Section 13
(1)
The Director shall —
(a)
supervise and control all matters in connection with any prison, the administration of which is vested in him; and
(b)
be responsible to the Minister for —

(i)
the conduct and treatment of the prison officers;
(ii)
the conduct and treatment of prisoners under his control; and
(iii)
the due observance by prison officers and prisoners of the provisions of this Act and of all other written laws relating to prison or prisoners.
(2)
Subject to the orders of the Director, the Officers-in-Charge shall —
(a)
supervise and control all matters in connection with any prison the administration of which is vested in him; and
(b)
be responsible to the Director for —
(i)
the conduct and treatment of the prison officers and prisoners under his control; and
(ii)
the due observance by prison officers and prisoners of the provisions of this Act and of all other written laws relating to prisons or prisoners.
