Citation, commencement and long title
of Personal Data Protection Order, 2025

Section 1
( 1) This Order may be cited as the Personal Data Protection Order, 2025
and shall commence on a date to be appointed by the Minister, with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, by notification published in the
Gazette.
(2)
Different dates may be appointed under subsection (1) for provisions of this Order or for different purposes of the same provisions.
(3)
The long title of this Order is "An Order to govern the collection, use and disclosure of personal data by organisations and for matters connected therewith".
