(1)
Sub-regulation (1) of regulation 13 and regulation 15 shall not apply to nuclear ships.
(2)
A Nuclear Passenger Ship Safety Certificate shall be issued after inspection and survey to a nuclear passenger ship which complies with the requirements of Chapters Il-l, Il-2, III, IV and this Chapter, and any other relevant requirements of these Regulations.
(3)
A Nuclear Cargo Ship Safety Cerlificate shall be issued after inspection and survey to a nuclear cargo ship which satisfies the requirements for cargo ships on survey set out in regulation 11, and complies with the requirements of
Chapters Il-l, Il-2, III, IV and this Chapter, and any other relevant requirements of these Regulations.
(4)
Nuclear Passenger Ship Safety Certificates and Nuclear Cargo Ship
Safety Certificates shall state the following -
"That the ship, being a nuclear ship, complied with all requirements of
Chapter VIII of the Convention and conformed to the safety assessment approved for the ship.".
(5)
Nuclear Passenger Ship Safety Certificates and Nuclear Cargo Ship
Safety Certificates shall be valid for a period of not more than one year.
(6)
Nuclear Passenger Ship Safety Certificates and Nuclear Cargo Ship
Safety Certificates shall be issued either by the Director or by any person or organisation duly authorised by him.
