Section 149
The stowage height of a survival craft on a passenger ship shall take into account the requirements of paragraph (b} of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 138, the escape provisions of regulation 118, the size of the ship, and the weather conditions likely to be encountered in its intended area of operation. For a davit-launched survival craft, the height of the davit head with the survival craft in embarkation position shall, as far as practicable, not exceed 15 metres to the water-line when the ship is in its lightest seagoing condition.
