Section 13

The Syar’ie Judge may, if he thinks necessary in respect of an application for an adoption order, appoint a guardian ad litem of the child in respect of whom the application is made. The guardian shall investigate the circumstances of the child and the applicant and all other matters relevant to the proposed adoption in order to safeguard the interests of the child by providing the requisite information to the Syar’ie Judge.
