Power to enter, etc.

(1)

Any person authorised in writing by the Minister may at all reasonable times —

(a)

have access to —

(i)

any premises occupied by a company or used for the storage of the company’s goods or products;

(ii)

any records or accounts of the company, for the purpose of checking the production, composition, storage or packing of any such goods or product and generally for the purpose of ensuring the implementation of this Act;

(b)

take samples of any such goods or products for any such purpose.

(2)

Any person who obstructs such person in the exercise of any power conferred by subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence: Penalty, a fine of $2,000 and to imprisonment for one year.
