A Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent and a subordinate officer may be interdicted, sus­

pended or dismissed in accordance with

Orders of the State of Brunei for the time being in force:

Provided that, where in the opinion of the

Superintendent it is essential in the interest of security and discipline of a place of detention that an officer should cease forthwith to exercise the functions of his office, the Superintendent may inter­

dict such officer from duty pending an investigation.
