Section 3

Except as otherwise provided by this Act, the Director-General shall, subject to any general or special directions of the Minister, be responsible for the administration of this Act.

The Minister may, by notification published in the Gazette, direct that the powers conferred on the Director-General under any provision of this Act be exercised by the Director-General of Medical Services in relation to such matters as may be specified in the notification.

For the purposes of exercising the powers in relation to matters referred to in subsection (2), any reference to the Director-General in any of those provisions shall be construed as a reference to the Director-General of

Medical Services.
