{CHAPTER 68J

INCREASE IN JURISDICTION

(Under Section 94J

Opening note

Preamble

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 94 of the Road Traffic Act !Chapter 68), the Chief Justice hereby confers upon the following special jurisdiction to try any offence under Section 27 of the said Act ia) the person occupying the post of Chief Magistrate. !bl the person occupying the post of Senior Magistrate. !c} the person occupying the post of Chief Registrar. id} the person occupying the post of Deputy Chief Registrar. !e} any person occupying the post of Registrar.

(f)

any qualified person occupying the post of Magistrate.

Section 2

In paragraph l(f}, "qualified" means a person who is qualified for the purposes of the Legal Profession Act (Chapter 132} by virtue of

Section 3 thereof.

Section 3

This notice shall take effect from the 1st day of February, 1989.
