Section 48
Obligation to afford free passage
(1)
When an order of removal is made under the provisions of this
Act in respect of any person who has entered Brunei Darussalam contrary to the provisions of this Act or of any regulations made thereunder, and such person was brought to Brunei Darussalam in a vessel or aircraft, the master of the vessel or aircraft, and also the master of any vessel or aircraft belonging to the same owners or chartered by the same charterers, shall, if required in writing by the Controller, receive such person on board his vessel or aircraft and afford him free of charge a passage to the port or place at which such person embarked and proper accommodation and maintenance during the voyage or flight:
Provided that no such master is liable as aforesaid unless the order of removal has been made by the Controller within 3 months from the date upon which such person entered Brunei Darussalam.

The master of any vessel or aircraft who fails to comply with the provisions of this section is guilty of an offence.
