Charging for extinguishing fires etc. on inland waters or sea

Section 48
(1)
The Director may charge fees for extinguishing any fire or protecting life and property in the event of any fire on inland waters or the sea, from such classes of persons as may be prescribed.
(2)
Different classes of persons and amounts of fees may be prescribed for different circumstances.
(3)
Any such unpaid fees may be recovered by the Government as a civil debt in any court of competent jurisdiction.
(4)
In this section, references to the sea are not restricted to the territorial waters of Brunei Darussalam.
