Licensing of finance company

Section 3
(1)
No financing business shall be transacted in Brunei Darussalam except by a company that is in possession of a valid licence granted by the
Authority, authorising it to conduct financing business or Islamic financing business in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
(2)
Any person who contravenes the provisions of subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of $20,000 and imprisonment for 5 years.
