Section 30

The master or the agent of every vessel arriving at any customs port and not being a vessel to which the exemption under section 36 applies shall produce to the proper officer of excise on arrival the clearance, or other document which it is usual to grant, granted at the last port of call whether such place be situated within or outside Brunei Darussalam, and the proper officer of excise may retain the same, and the master or the agent of any vessel who fails to comply with this section shall be guilty of an offence.

No vessel, unless exempted, to sail without clearance.
