Evidence as to affairs of State. [S 13/2006]

Notwithstanding any other law on the contrary, no one shall be permitted to produce any unpublished official records relating to the affairs of State or any document in the possession of a Ministry or of a department of Government, or to give any evidence derived therefrom, except with the permission of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry or the head of the department concerned, who shall give or withhold such permission as he thinks fit, subject however to the control of the Minister concerned, and no court shall order the production of any such record or document until such permission has been obtained.
