(1)
This Order may be cited as the Emergency (Copyright) Order, 1999 and shall commence on the day to be appointed by the Attorney General, with the approval of His
Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, by notification in the Gazette.
(2)
The long title of this Order is “An Order in respect of copyright and related matters”.
(3)
This Order applies to things done –
(a)
in or on the continental shelf (being the area proclaimed by His Highness the Sultan on 30th. June, 1954 by the Continental Shelf Proclamation 1954) on a structure or vessel which is present there for purposes directly connected with the exploration of the seabed and its subsoil or with the exploitation of their natural resources;
(b)
on a Brunei Darussalam ship, as defined in section 2 of the Merchant
Shipping Act; and
(c)
on an aircraft or hovercraft registered in Brunei Darussalam, as it applies to things done in Brunei Darussalam,
