Article 4
(1)
No person shall be considered a lawful Heir or a lawful
Successor unless he professes the Islamic Religion and is a male lawfully begotten descendant in the male line who is a person of the blood of the
Sultans of Brunei Darussalam.
(2)
A lawful Heir shall be excluded from the succession if his right to succeed has been forfeited under subsection (1) of section 10.
