Section 38

A resident shall be examined by the medical officer before being discharged, or removed to another school or home. No resident shall be removed to any other school or home unless the medical officer certifies that he is fit for removal. No resident who is suffering from any acute or dangerous illness shall be discharged from the school or home until, in the opinion of the medical officer, it is safe to do so or, his sentence having expired, he refuses to stay.
