Authority and authorised officers
(1)
The Minister may, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, by notification published in the Gazette, appoint such person or persons as he thinks fit to be the Authority responsible for the administration of this Act, either generally or for any particular Part or provision of this Act or for any particular regulations made under this Act, and may in the notification specify the extent of and manner in which that responsibility is to be exercised.

(2)
Subject to the directions of the Authority in writing, the powers conferred and the duties imposed on the Authority under this Act and any regulations made thereunder may be exercised and carried out by —
(a)
any public officer; and
(b)
such other public authority constituted by any written law as the Minister may approve for the purpose, generally or specially authorised by name or office by the Authority.
