Chapter
(INCORPORATION)
Opening note
This Act may be cited as the Vicar Apostolic of
Kuching (Incorporation) Act.
Short title 3
The lawful holder for the tin1e being of the office of Vicar Apostolic of Kuching is hereby _constituted a body corporate under the nan1e of Vicar Apbstolic of Kuching, hereinafter called the corporation.

Kuching to be a body corporate
The corporation for the purposes of this Act may sue and be sued in its said name and shall have perpetual succession and a corporate seal.
The corporation may acquire, purchase, take, hold Powers and enjoy movable and immovable property of every de-scription and may surrender and yield up, charge, lease, sub-lease, re-assign, transfer or otherwise dispose of, or deal with, any movable or immovable property vested in the corporation upon such terms as to the corporation seems fit.
All immovable property situated in Brunei and here-tofore conveyed or assigned to or vested in the Catholic
Mission, North Borneo, or the Prefect Apostolic of North
Borneo, whether with or without the name of the ecclesias-tic for the time being holding that office, is hereby vested in the corporation for the respective estates and interests for which the same is held.

Any deed, document or other instruments, the opera-Documents tion of which has not lapsed or been discharged prior to the date of commencement of this Act and in which appears the

name of the Catholic Mis~ion, North Borneo, or the Prefect
Apostolic of North Borneo shall be read and construed as if there were substituted therefor the corporate name of the
Vicar Apostolic of Kuching.
All deeds, documents and other instruments requir-ing the seal of the corporation shall be sealed with the seal of the corporation in the presence of the Vicar Apostolic of
Kuching for the time being or his attorney duly authorised by a power of attorney deposited under section 3 of the
Powers of Attorney Act, and shall also be signed by the
Vicar Apostolic of Kuching for the time being or his attor-ney so authorised as aforesaid, and such signing shall be sufficient evidence that the said seal was duly and properly affixed and that the same is the lawful seal of the corpora-tion .
