This Notification may be cited as the Ports (Approaches to a Port)
Notification, 1987 and shall be deemed to have come into force on 1st day of April, 1987.

The Ports (Approaches to a Port} Notification, 1987 11th JULY, 1987
Opening note
This Notification may be cited as the Ports (Approaches to a Port)
Notification, 1987 and shall be deemed to have come into force on 1st day of April, 1987.
The areas mentioned in Column 1 of the First Schedule are hereby declared to be the approaches mentioned in Column 2 of the said Schedule.
The approaches mentioned in this Notification shall be deemed to be a port for the purposes of the provisions mentioned in the
Second Schedule.
The Minister of Communications may make additions to the areas and ports to be mentioned in the First Schedule and to the provi-sions to be mentioned in the Second Schedule, from time to time as he may think it necessary by Notification in the Gqvernment Gqzette.
FIRST SCHEDULE
1.
Area
Part of Brunei River starting from the eastern limit of the Port of Brunei Town
(now known as Bandar Seri Begawan) as described in The Emergency (Suspension of
Constitution) Order, 1962, dated 27th
March, 1963, to the mouth of that river at a position drawn up by a line passing through
Tanjong Kindana to the northern bank of the river.
2. The rest of the waters of Brunei in Brunei
Bay south of the port limits of Muara.
