MERCHANT SHIPPING (AUTHORISED ORGANISATIONS) REGULATIONS, 2007
Opening note
These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Authorised
Organisations) Regulations, 2007.
Authorised organisations.
The organisations named in Part A of the Schedule are hereby authorised for the survey or inspection of Brunei Darussalam ships and the issue of any certificate under Part VII of the Order.
The organisations named in Part B of the Schedule are hereby authorised to carry out an assessment, or a verification, or an approval or a certification activity required by, and to issue or endorse any certificate issued under, Chapter XIA of the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Regulations,
2003 (S 57/03).
The Director may, with the approval of the Minister, authorise any person to be an authorised organisation under sub-regulations (1) or (2), subject to such conditions as he may impose.
Savings.
Any certificate issued or endorsed under or in accordance with the Merchant
Shipping (Appointment of Certifying Authority) Regulations, 1984 (S 44/84)
(revoked by these Regulations) shall continue to be in force for the period specified therein.
Revocation.
The Merchant Shipping (Appointment of Certifying Authority) Regulations,
1984 (S 44/84) are hereby revoked.
