tions and amendments as may be necessary to make the same applicable to the circumstances of Brunei and, in particular, subject to the modifications set forth in the Sche-dule.
NOTE. Subject to certain modifications, the Application of Laws
Enactment 1951 (Cap. 2 of 1951) applied to Brunei the Law Reform
(Contributory Negligence) Act 1945 of the United Kingdom except sections 5 and 6. The United Kingdom Act amends the law relating to contributory negligence and provides for the apportionment of liability in cases of contributory negligence.

MODIFICATIONS
1.
In subsection (7) of section 1 the reference to the Carriage by Air
Act 1932 shall be read as a reference to the Air Navigation Act of
Brunei.
2.
In sections 2 and 4 the references to the Workmen's Compensa-tion Acts 1925 to 1943 and to sections thereof shall be read as references to the Workmen's Compensation Act of Brunei and to the correspond-ing sections thereof.
