(REGISTRABLE GOODS) ORDER, 2023
Opening note
Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Energy Efficiency !Standards and Labelling)
!Registrable Goods) Order, 2023 and shall commence on the same date as the
Energy Efficiency !Standards and Labelling) Act !Chapter 233).
Registrable goods
Any goods described in the Schedule are registrable goods for the purposes of
Part 3 of the Act.

Air conditioners-SCHEDULE

REGISTRABLE GOODS
{a} casement or window type air-conditioner (cooling capacity of 7.1 kW or lower);
(b} split type non-inverter air-conditioner with one or more than one indoor unit (cooling capacity of 7.1 kW or lower);
{c} split type inverter air-conditioner with one or more than one indoor unit (cooling capacity of 7.1 kW or lower).
In this Schedule, unless the context otherwise requires -
"casement or window type air-conditioner" means an assembly of components of a refrigeration system fixed on a common mounting to form a single unit;
"split type inverter air-conditioner" means split type air-conditioner that employs technologies that vary the output of the compressor by means other than start-stop operation;
"split type non-inverter air-conditioner" means a split type air-conditioner that employs technologies that vary the output of the compressor by start-stop operation.
