In these regulations-htterpretatioa
"Customs Wharf" means the Government Wharf provided for the landing and loading of cargo at each of the places specified in the First Schedule.
Wharf Dues shall be paid on all goods landed or Wharf Dues.
loaded at a Customs Wharf at the rates specified in the
Second Schedule :
Provided that where cargo is transhipped and passed over and not placed on the wharf at the place of tranship-ment, only half such rates will be charged.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Brunei Town
Kuala Belait
Tutong
Muara.
SECOND SCHEDULE
On every package not exceeding 50 katties -
On every package over 50 katties but not exceeding two pikuls
On every package exceeding two pikuls for each pikul or part thereof -

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These regulations govern the charges for wharf dues in the State of Brunei. The rates have been increased, but it is the first increase of rates since 1947. The extra'revenue wiJl be used to provide for the purchase and maintenaQ.ce of cargo handling equipment for use by importers to facilitate the rapid clearance of cargo.
