In these by.e-laws, unless the context otherwise requires 709
"Airport" means the Brunei International Airport;
"airport official" means a person authorised in writing by the
Director of Civil Aviation to perform specified functions under these bye-laws;
"airside" means areas within the security fence and on the airport side of any security barrier;
"authorised officer" means any officer of the Department of Civil
Aviation or any person duly authorised by the Director to act on his behalf;
"Director" means the Director of Civil Aviation and includes an airport official;
''landside'' means areas which are not airside;
"manoeuvring area" means the part of an aerodrome provided for the landing and take-off of aircraft including the surrounding safety zones and the taxiways by excluding any part of aerodrome set aside for the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, the loading and unloading of cargo, the maintenance or parking of aircraft;
"movement area" means that part of an aerodrome provided for the landing and take-off of aircraft, the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, the loading and unloading of cargo, the maintenance or parking of aircraft;

Prohibition on vehicles used in airside.
"park" means to bring a vehicle to a stationary position and cause it to wait for any purpose other than that of immediately taking up or setting down passengers, goods or luggage;
"prohibited area" means that part of the aerodrome where no person is permitted to enter unless he is the holder of an airport security pass;
"traffic signs" include all signals, warning signs, posts, direction posts, sign, lines, lamps or other devices for the guidance or direction of persons using the aerodrome.
