BROADCASTING (COMPOUNDABLE OFFENCEJ REGULATIONS, 2001
Opening note
These Regulations may be cited as the Broadcasting (Compoundable Offence)
Regulations, 2001.
Compoundable offence.
The contravention or failure to comply with subsection (1) of section 23 of the
Act being an offence punishable under section 41 of the Act, in so far as it relates to broadcasting apparatus which is a TVRO system as defined in the Broadcasting
(TVRO System) Regulations, 2000 (S 2/2001) and so far as no exemption has been granted in respect thereof by the Minister under subsection (4) of section 23 of the
Act, is hereby prescribed as an offence which may be compounded by the Minister under subsection ( 1) of section 50 of the Act.
Made this 3rd. day of Jamadilawal, 1422 Hijriah corresponding to the 24th. day of July, 2001.
